Cabarrus Art Guild, our newest tenant, Presents:
Second Sunday Demo Days! Each 2nd Sunday of the month.
January 2020’s Sunday Art Demo, hosted by the Cabarrus Art Guild at ClearWater Art Center & Studios features Pastel artist, Malia Bryngelson.
Note, Sunday Demo’s take place in ClearWater’s Lower Level Events Room & Gallery. Entry is through the doors into that room. The Main Entrance, at 223 Crowell Drive NW will NOT be open! Go to the double-glass doors, lower down on the hill, facing Kerr Street.
See pop-up site plan and building diagrams on our Our Space page to get oriented.
Malia Bryngelson creates pastel paintings with the goal of bringing the openness and peace of being outdoors. She feels the medium of pastel is ideal for depicting wonderfully strong sunlight and shadow which she loves to paint. The immediacy and feel of drawing combined with the beautiful rich colors of pastels make this her medium of choice.
Malia has been working exclusively in pastel for the past seven years and have studied extensively from wonderful nationally known pastel artists.
It has been her honor to be accepted into two national art shows and to received numerous awards at the regional and state levels.
Her mission as a teaching artist is, first and foremost, to encourage other artists in their art journey! She is passionate about pastel painting and truly enjoys sharing what she has learned with others.
This demonstration is presented by the Cabarrus Art Guild. It is FREE and open to the public.
Malia will be teaching a workshop in Pastels Technique on January 25th; see our Classes page and/or the Cabarrus Art Guild’s website (and/or our FaceBook event post, linked above), for more info.
